Rebecca Blustein is the Assistant Director of the UCLA Scholarship Resource Center. She works with faculty and administrators to promote and develop the Center's programs and manages the campus application process for National and International Merit Scholarships and educates students about these opportunities. Rebecca is a 2001 Mitchell Scholar. She took a leave of absence from her PhD program in Comparative Literature at UCLA to pursue an MA in Medieval Irish at Maynooth University. Her studies in Ireland were of great value to her PhD thesis, examining kingship and the creation of historical myths, which involved studying biblical allusion in a number of medieval Irish texts. She later returned to Ireland to translate a manuscript at the Royal Irish Academy. Rebecca obtained her undergraduate degree from UCLA.
