A Major in the US Army, Jeannie is an Orthopedic Surgeon at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She has previously served in Syria, Kuwait, Afghanistan and at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. Jeannie is a 2003 Mitchell Scholar. She received an MSc. in Community Health from Trinity College Dublin. Jeannie's thesis research was conducted in Bangladesh. With funding from Concern Worldwide, she examined the efficacy of a public health program designed to combat malnutrition in the country. Jeannie's studies in Ireland allowed her to gain an international perspective on a number of areas of medical interest including epidemiology, preventative medicine and public health. Jeannie obtained her undergraduate degree from the US Military Academy (West Point).
