Mark runs middle and high school ministry, outreach, and service programs at St. Joseph Church in Mendham and he also teaches service-learning and social justice courses to undergrads at St. Elizabeth University in Morristown. He has led young people building homes for working-poor families that don't qualify for government assistance programs in Appalachia. He was heavily involved in reconstruction efforts in New Orleans in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.
Mark is a 2003 Mitchell Scholar. He received a Master's Degree in Political Communication from Dublin City University. His thesis research contrasted presidential and party leader debates in the US and Ireland and looked at how politicians were chosen to participate in debates in the Irish general elections of 1997 and 2002. Mark interned at the Office of the Taoiseach and worked on a project known as the Government Modernization Initiative.
Mark obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.
