Alexandra is working with Bank of America in Charlotte NC, on Leadership Team - Consumer and Small Business Legal. Before that, she was a Partner at McGuire Woods, advising Financial Technology startups.

Alexandra recently served as Counsel at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and prior to that, she was an Attorney Adviser for the Office of the Legal Adviser at the State Department where she worked on immigration and national security/terrorism issues, helping government clients to navigate highly complex legal matters.

A 2004 Mitchell Scholar, Alexandra received an LLM in International Human Rights and Criminal Justice as part of a joint degree program run by Queen's University Belfast and the National University of Ireland, Galway. Studying on both sides of the border, she became very interested in how terrorism, human rights and immigration overlap and the challenging legal issues that arise. Her thesis examined emergency measures introduced to address detention of terror suspects. In Galway, Alexandra worked closely with the Irish Center for Human Rights and met many experts in the field from around the world.

Alexandra obtained her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas.
