Robbie is an Independent Investigator at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where he is a physician scientist focused on CART cell development in the laboratory and the clinic. Prior to that, Robbie was an Assistant Professor at Stanford taking care of children with cancer as well as treating non-malignant blood disorders such as sickle cell disease. He also was a Clinical Fellow in Pediatrics, Oncology and Hematology at Johns Hopkins and the NIH. As an undergraduate at Columbia University he co-founded Columbia for Awareness of Leukemia and Lymphoma (CALL) to raise funds to support ongoing research as well as campaigning to raise the number of registered bone marrow donors. Robbie is a 2004 Mitchell Scholar. He received a Higher Diploma in Health Promotion from the National University of Ireland, Galway. His studies focused on how to positively impact health outcomes at the community level and included looking at healthcare communication strategies using health messaging and advertising as well as epidemiology and disease trends. Robbie is a graduate of Harvard Medical School. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
