Robbie is the Director of the Pediatric and Young Adult Cancer Cell Therapy Program at Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Boston Children’s Hospital. He is focused on the development and deployment of immunotherapies for pediatric cancer. Prior to that, Robbie was an Assistant Professor at Stanford, caring for children with cancer and treating non-malignant blood disorders such as sickle cell disease. He was also a Clinical Fellow in Pediatrics, Oncology, and Hematology at Johns Hopkins and the NIH. As an undergraduate at Columbia University he co-founded Columbia for Awareness of Leukemia and Lymphoma (CALL) to raise funds to support ongoing research as well as campaigning to raise the number of registered bone marrow donors. Robbie was a 2004 Mitchell Scholar. He received a Higher Diploma in Health Promotion from the University of Galway. His studies focused on how to positively impact health outcomes at the community level and included looking at healthcare communication strategies using health messaging and advertising, as well as epidemiology and disease trends. Robbie is a graduate of Harvard Medical School.
