Law

An Associate Attorney at the New Orleans based law firm, Frilot LLC, Brandon's legal practice focuses on maritime litigation, representing the insurers of large ocean going vessels operating in the Gulf of Mexico and on the high seas. His role involves conducting inspections of ships and cargo as well as investigating the circumstances surrounding collisions in order to prepare for the possibility of a suit being filed. In the event of an incident involving a vessel, Brandon and colleagues will interview the captain and crew, gather navigation data, liaise with the Coast Guard and construct a full narrative of events for use in court. Brandon is a 2005 Mitchell Scholar. He received a Master's Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ulster, Derry. During his scholarship year he worked for Ilex, an urban regeneration company focused on Derry. A number of footpath cafés were open in Derry city center as a result of business proposals he authored. Brandon hopes to continue developing his career and expanding his maritime practice with Frilot LLC. He is also very interested in politics and in time would like to explore opportunities to participate in both the legal world and local government. Brandon obtained his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in New Orleans.
