Arthur Chan is currently Senior Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs of Madison Wells, an award-winning, independent entertainment company founded by producer Gigi Pritzker, with a strong bias towards stories for, by, and about badass women and people who push boundaries. Arthur is a member of the senior management team and heads up the business affairs and legal operations of the company, overseeing all dealmaking across film, TV, live theater, podcast, and strategic partnerships. Madison Wells projects include the Oscar-winning THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE starring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield, HELL OR HIGH WATER, DRIVE, THE WAY WAY BACK, Emmy-nominated GENIUS, and the Tony-winning HADESTOWN, COMPANY, THE INHERITANCE, and MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET on Broadway. Previously, Arthur was an associate attorney in the Century City office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP where he represented clients in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, venture capital, and complex entertainment transactions. Arthur is a 2008 Mitchell Scholar, where he obtained an M.A. with highest honors in contemporary migration and diaspora studies from University College Cork. His master's thesis examined the experience of Chinese entrepreneurs who had emigrated to Ireland in the 1980s. Arthur received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in international politics from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife, Paige Fern Chan, and their two children, Daniella and Coby
