Bernadette is a Partner at McKinsey & Company. She has concentrated on the healthcare industry, where she works with hospitals and health insurance companies, helping them strategize for the for impact of upcoming reforms which will reshape how Americans buy insurance and increase access to basic services. Bernadette is a 2008 Mitchell Scholar. She received a Master's Degree in Applied Social Research from the Sociology Department of Trinity College, Dublin. As part of her degree program she worked with the Dublin City Council Homeless Agency. Her thesis research furthered this work by examining the intersection of homelessness and public space. Bernadette looked at the experiences of the homeless residents of Dublin’s Temple Bar neighborhood, investigating how urban redevelopment has impacted those who live on the streets of this area popular with tourists. After returning to the US, she performed research for the Institute of Medicine at the National Academies of Science, where she wrote extensively on issues such as the regional and racial disparities in Americans’ access to quality healthcare. Bernadette is a 2012 graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where she focused on health sector management. Bernadette obtained her undergraduate degree from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania.
