Nate is Senior Counsel at Mitsubishi Electric US in Los Angeles. Prior to that, he was Litigation and Government Investigations Associate at Veder Price. Prior to that, he was an Associate at Sidley Austin in Washington, DC. and previously served as a Senior Investigator with the Office of Congressional Ethics, a body set up to investigate suspected misconduct by members of the House of Representatives.

A 2008 Mitchell Scholar, Nate received an LLM in International Human Rights Law from the National University of Ireland, Galway. His thesis research examined gender violence in conflict zones and was inspired by his visits to refugee camps in Sudan and eastern Chad. In 2004, Nate founded STAND: A student anti-genocide coalition to end genocide in Sudan. STAND currently has 500 chapters around the world and while studying in Ireland, he organized a number of events to raise awareness and support for the organization.

Nate obtained his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.
