Catherine will be starting her PhD at the University of Colorado as a NSF Data Science Fellow this Fall. She will be joining the largest group of geobiologists in the world in CU's Department of Geosciences to study microbial metabolisms in early Earth (3.5 billion years ago) environments. Catherine is currently a Research Scientist at the University of Arizona. She researches ecosystem establishment indicators in soil to help effectively and efficiently revegetate degraded arid lands disturbed by copper mining in Arizona and Mexico. Before that, Catherine was Associate Director of Marketing at NYU Langone Health, one of the US's top hospitals in New York City. A 2009 Mitchell Scholar, Catherine received an MSc. in Environmental Science from Trinity. Catherine obtained her undergraduate degree from Albion College in Michigan.
