David was the Founder and CEO of Passfolio, a service that increased financial access and democratization by offering U.S. stock trading, crypto trading, and U.S. banking to users around the world. In 2023 one of the world's 20 biggest banks bought Passfolio. David previously founded Mobius, a blockchain company that completed a $39M token sale for its DApp Store, Pluto Mail, an ephemeral email service, and Yoshi, a Y Combinator backed gas delivery company. David is a 2012 Mitchell Scholar and received an LLM in Corporate Governance from Queen's University, Belfast. David's dissertation analyzed self-driving vehicle product liability and used research he conducted at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society. Studying in Northern Ireland grew David's interest in technology law and policy and confirmed his desire to attend law school. David obtained his undergraduate degree in computer science from Stanford and a JD from Harvard Law School.
