Jessica is an Associate at Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein in New York City. After sh finished her clerkship in Philadelphia, whe was an adjunct at NYU Law, teaching and working at the Center for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging. At NYU Law School, she was the Co-President of NYU Law Women. She spent a summer at the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division Educational Opportunities Section where she worked on issues related to campus sexual assault and transgender student rights. Prior to NYU, she served as the Government Relations Associate for the Center for Reproductive Rights. Jessica is a 2012 Mitchell Scholar. She pursued an M.Phil in Gender and Women's Studies at Trinity. Her thesis examined why Irish women politicians got into politics and their relationship with feminism. Jessica's academic study gave her the intellectual framework within which to consider women's rights. Her internship with the Irish Family Planning Association showed her activism in practice and provided her with insight into the historical and contemporary discourse on reproductive rights in Ireland. Jessica is passionately dedicated to furthering the cause of women's rights and is especially concerned about the impact of restrictions on those from low-income families. She hopes to influence the direction of future policy on reproductive rights. Jessica obtained her undergraduate degree at Yale.
