Bessie Young is an Emergency Medicine Resident Physician at Baystate Medical Center. She obtained her MD from UCSF. She studied Photography at the University of Ulster. She graduated summa cum laude with distinction from Amherst College in 2011 as a triple major in Psychology, Art and the History of Art. As a Henry Luce Scholar in Nishinomiya, Japan, she studied aging and long-term care for the elderly at Kwansei Gakuin University. Her photography focuses on the aging environment in differing cultural contexts.
