Katie Dwyer and her partner, Irish photographer Gregory Nolan, have created Another Look, which provides professional photography and storytelling services to direct service providers and nonprofits. www.AnotherLook.co. Katie is also the Program Coordinator at the University of Oregon Prison Education Program.

Katie spent time in Dublin after her Mitchell year and worked for Noho, a multimedia production company involved in a variety of broadcast, web, mobile and exhibition content production. Katie developed content for cultural heritage projects such as the Brian Boru exhibit at Dublinia and the upcoming WWI exhibit at the National Library of Ireland. This role allows her to combine her passion for writing with the opportunity to learn more about Irish history and culture.

Katie is a 2013 Mitchell Scholar. Enrolled in a cross border program she received a Masters Degree in Human Rights Law from Queen’s and the National University of Ireland, Galway. During her semester in Belfast Katie worked with the Educational Shakespeare Company running education and arts based programs for prison inmates and former prisoners. She also helped organize a Human Rights Day event at Queen’s with two death row exonerees as guest speakers.

Katie is passionate about writing, storytelling and social justice. She is interested in documentary filmmaking as an ideal platform to advance the cause of social justice and effect social change.

Katie obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon.
