A 2015 Mitchell Scholar, Sarah found Belfast to be an amazing place to study for someone interested in race relations. Although the Troubles were not about race, Sarah drew many lessons that she can apply to race relations in the US. It gave her an effective comparative lens on community-based conflicts and social dynamics in the aftermath of violence.

Sarah found her degree program to be top-notch, with an intimate department where the faculty was very involved and accessible -- both inside and outside of the classroom.

Sarah obtained her undergraduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill.
