Travis Davis is in South Dakota, working as the Deputy Project Manager at LBNF/DUNE Fermilab, America's particle physics and accelerator laboratory. Prior to that, he was Manager, Engine Test Engineering at BLUE ORIGIN, where he worked for five years, hot-fire testing their BE-3 and BE-4 Rocket Engines in Huntsville, Alabama. Travis and his wife, Amanda, had resided in Dublin where he co-founded Starling Surgical, a wound closure device that spun out of Trinity College Dublin's Centre for Bioengineering.
Prior to moving to Dublin, Travis had worked at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama as a Research and Development Engineer in the Propulsion Department. Travis designed valves for the developmental rocket engines and many of his new designs utilize 3D printing technology.
A 2015 Mitchell Scholar, Travis received his MS in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
Travis obtained his undergraduate degree from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
