Gavin is a Judicial Law Clerk with the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuti. He graduated from Yale Law School and then clerked for Judge Richard Sullivan on the Second Court of Appeals. He served with the Marines as a Ground Intelligence Officer. Gavin was a 2016 Scholar at NUI Galway and studied Natural Resource Economics & Policy. At Claremont McKenna, Gavin was Student Body President, a position that enabled him to collaborate with the College Administration to develop a $100 million initiative to finance scholarships for low-income students. He was an Executive Fellow with the Capital Fellow Program, under which he worked for the California Department of Water Resources on the State Water Project and the Bay Delta Conservation Plan. He also worked in Morgan Stanley’s Public Finance Group in San Francisco. Gavin obtained his undergraduate degree from Claremont McKenna College.
