Byron Cohen obtained his PhD in Population Health Sciences (public health) from Harvard, where he focused on infectious disease epidemiology, biosecurity, health systems, and global health. Byron is now a Horizon Fellow at the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy, working to help coordinate federal investments in research and development for technologies to defend against future pandemics. Previously, Byron was part of the research team at HSPH working on Harvard's India Health Systems Project. He also has experience working on projects to help improve clean water access and water governance in Gulu, Uganda. Byron earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from University College Dublin in 2017, where he studied as a Mitchell Scholar. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics, & Economics from Claremont McKenna College in 2016.
