Christopher has completd his PhD/JD in Ecology and Environmental Law at Duke. He was nominated for, and accepted, an inaugural Science in the Park fellowship from the National Park Service / Ecological Society of America to develop science communication products that address the impacts of climate change on our National Parks. He will be working with the Cape Cod National Seashore to inform and educate NGOs and the general public on how climate change will impact this fragile, unique ecosystem. He has also accepted a position in London as a Carbon Removal Scientist for Isometric, one of the world’s leading carbon credit certification platforms, to develop international protocols around terrestrial carbon capture and storage solutions — from tropical reforestation to tundra conservation. He’ll be moving to London in 2025. Christopher was a 2017 Mitchell Scholar who studied Biodiversity and Conservation at Trinity. He is the Chairman of The Woape Foundation, which he founded after a high school visit to Pine Ridge. Through a sustainably constructed a greenhouse and a STEM program at Red Cloud School for Native American children, the foundation addresses education and nutrition. Christopher was a student researcher at the National Institutes of Health, at his university and, as a Goldwater Scholar, he studied vector-borne illnesses in Central America. He also served as the President of the Student Government. Christopher graduated from The University of Scranton with degrees in Environmental Science/Biochemistry and Cell and Molecular Biology/Philosophy.
