Emma is a Junior Fellow at the Harvard Society of Fellows. She received her PhD in English from Harvard in the fall of 2024. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary drama, the nineteenth century novel, and the relationship between fiction and ethics. She is a 2017 Mitchell Scholar who studied Playwriting at the Lir. Emma studied English as an undergraduate at Harvard, where she also served as Fiction Editor of The Harvard Advocate and worked on many Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club productions. Her play Gravity, which she wrote while at Trinity, was performed in Dublin at The Lab and as part of the Dublin Fringe Festival, and was a semifinalist for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center National Playwrights Conference. Her play The Revivalists, which she wrote as her undergraduate thesis, was awarded the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize for outstanding undergraduate work.
